IRVING, Texas - To the many Desperados fans who sent notes of sympathy and support in regards to the passing of Ben Huff:

I wanted to thank all of you on behalf of the organization for sending your thoughts, prayers, well-wishes and support upon hearing of our loss. Ben was an outstanding person both on and off the field. He regularly sacrificed himself for the greater good of the team and touched the lives of many. He gave his time to the community, volunteering at schools and the Boys and Girls Clubs around Dallas. He will be missed.

I traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina to help support his family and friends after hearing the news. I will pass along your notes of condolences to his family and friends.

In Ben's honor, we will observe a moment of silence at Friday's home game and will be wearing a decal with his jersey number on the back of our helmets.
