AFL NOTES: The Dallas Desperados acquired Troy Reddick on January 18, 2008 after he was released by the Kansas City Brigade. Reddick looks to tap into his experience after starting seven of the nine games he played with the ArenaBowl XXI Champions San Jose SaberCats as a rookie in 2007. He was traded to Kansas City January 11, 2008, one week before being waived and claimed by Dallas. He looks to add young depth to a stable Dallas offensive line.

AFL 2007 (San Jose): Reddick played in nine games with seven starts for the Sabercats along with making all three postseason starts, including ArenaBowl XXI. He made his AFL debut against Utah (4/28) as a reserve. He logged his first career start two weeks later against Las Vegas (5/12) and started the next six games.

OTHER PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: 2006 - Reddick signed as an undrafted rookie free agent with the Chicago Bears on May 5 but was released by the team on August 3 and signed with the New York Giants on August 6. He saw action in four preseason games with the Giants prior to being released at the start of the 2006 season.

COLLEGE: Reddick started 34 consecutive games along the offensive line for the Auburn Tigers over a three-year period, blocking for NFL running backs Carnell "Cadillac" Williams and Ronnie Brown while at Auburn. He was voted All-Southeastern Conference honorable mention player by the Associated Press in 2004 and 2005. Reddick started 11 games at right tackle his senior season in 2005, helping the Auburn offense average 409.8 yards per game and finish the season with a 9-3 record. He finished 2004 with the highest grade of offensive line starters with a 93 overall mark, including 100 percent on assignments against Mississippi State. Reddick started at guard in all 13 games in 2003. He played in seven games as a freshman in 2002 and started three of them.

PERSONAL: Reddick majored in Building Science at Auburn University. He was a two-way starter at Albany Westover High School in Albany, Ga., and as a defensive tackle, finished with 50 tackles, 10 tackles for loss and three sacks as a senior while not allowing a sack from the left guard position. As a junior, Reddick had 20 tackles, five sacks and three forced fumbles on defense.
